First Brand Ambassador Masterclass Tomorrow. Excited Much!

SEPTEMBER 17, 2015

So I was appointed brand ambassador for a gorgeous, relatively new cosmetic brand called mememe cosmetics a few weeks ago. It's a real honour and Im doing my first set of master classes in two locations in Kildare tomorrow. Connolly's Pharmacy, The Square, Kildare town at 12.00pm and The Rye Pharmacy, Barnhall Shopping Centre in Leixlip at 2.30

The brand itself is incredibly luxurious and wearable but at an extremely reasonable price point. Prices start at around €8 for lip tints and their foundation which is both long wearing and dewy is just under €18.  Check out their website here http://www.mememecosmetics.com

If you happen to be in either of the above locations tomorrow do please pop by and say hi! There is a gorgeous free gift when you buy two or more products and I'll be there to do some demos and give great insider tips and tricks. Ill update again over the weekend with some images of the event.

Stylish Irish Wedding at the beautiful Clonwilliam House

I loved every minute of working with this beautiful Irish Bride Orlaith last year. She was so relaxed but had such great taste and attention to details. She wanted really fresh, beautiful bridal wedding make up but with a strong eye. The setting at Clonwilliam was breathtaking and perfect for this chilled out bride for her Autumn Country Wedding.

New Love Letter

Got this gorgeous message from one of my brides from last weekend. She had contacted me months ago from Australia where she is from but was having her wedding here in Ireland.

Her family came from all over Australia, Argentina and the USA to attend the wedding and I looked after 7 of them on the morning. They were all so lovely I really enjoyed taking care of them. I'll post some images when I get them.

"Hi Danielle,

I just wanted to say a BIG BIG thank you for your amazing talents and help last week at the wedding. I am so happy out paths crossed!

Not only were an absolute pleasure to deal with in the lead up, but you were also so calm and made everything feel light and easy on the day.

I loved loved loved my make-up and so many people commented on it as well (even from Australia!). The other ladies who had their make-up done were also raving on about theirs, and I thought everyone just looked as gorgeous and they felt beautiful on the day.

So we're off to France tomorrow, if you have any restaurant suggestions i'm all ears :-) I remember you also mentioned you might have some Turkey tips as well? No pressure of course...

I want to wish you all the best with your work, love and life and stay in touch!!!

Big Hugs,
Deb

P.S. Will you pass on my thanks to Grace as well
P.S.S You're next :-)"

I'm Danielle Murphy, a professional make up artist who has been in the business of beauty for 15 years now. My work has spanned from fashion, TV and commercial work to beauty writing for the likes of Cosmopolitan, teaching both professional courses and private lessons to bridal make up. I have felt the adrenalin of working backstage at London Fashion Week, stood for 12 hours in freezing fields on music videos, trained others how to become make up artists and applied the final touches before seeing beautiful brides off to be married. Each experience is equally rewarding, hard work and exhilarating.

I spent several years working in London for MAC Cosmetics both in retail as well as on major events including The BAFTAs, London Fashion Week and The British Soap Awards. I returned to Dublin in 2007 continuing on a freelance basis to look after clients from all walks of life. More recently again I taught at The Jemma Kidd Make Up School in London until they closed their doors in 2012. I've painted the faces of everyday men and women and also well known actors, musicians and fashion models. In my experience, what never changes is every woman's desire to look absolutely gorgeous and yet still feel like themselves.

I constantly get asked “do you love your job?” and I can honestly say I am truly loving what I do and doing what I love! Each day is so different. I may be writing a quick piece on how to apply liquid liner in the morning, rushing over that evening to RTE to do a guest's make up for the Late Late Show and then up the following morning at the dawn to join a family as they prepare their daughter or sister for one of the biggest days of her life. There's no hiding behind a desk or at the other end of a phone in this job. I cannot fake it and thankfully I'm still passionate about trying out new products and cult beauty brands and I always look forward to meeting new clients.
